Machine story: 2013-03-25
I was very luckily surprised that I got two of the very seldom Ascota-114 machines in one week via eBay. In the modular approach of the series, this machine is the successor of the Ascota 110 and the pre successor of the 314 machine.
On the moment of arrival the case was relatively clean. The machine photographed as it came. The first calculation check passed. 25x25=625 (see the pictures)

After cleaning and oiling the mechanism on all the needed locations, the calculation 9x12 end up in a 9999999999 and blocking. First investigation (known reset handles) did not solved it. Need some careful study what might be the cause.

The motor was causing the blocking here. Demounting it loses the tension at 150 degrees position of the central axis and the machine cycle de-blocked. Some calculations the result seems not logical against the prediction. Occasionally de result is not set to zero after total sum???
Surprisingly no electrical problem occurs sofar!! (No slow starting motor turns or warming up of the components box)
Checked the multiplication operation again and executed well, with expected / good results!
