The plastic tops of the sliders were wear-out. The top digit indication, for the sliders, was missing. The zero setting knobs, had small parts of rust surface. Mains cable not at the delivery, as specified. |

| Machine story: | 2012-02-08 The machine was blocked on arrival. The speed brake of the carriage transport, located in the bottom part of the machine, was the cause of it. This mechanism has an extra one way function / in one direction a centrifugal systems get more resistance by higher turning speed, due to brass parts pushing against a inner side of a cylinder. This one way functions is obvious due to the spring wich pulling the carriage to the left. Allthoug not cleare during operation. The movement to the richt is by hand the back functioned aswell. A plate of the one way mechanism was bended and broken. Parts of it sticked out and prevent the part from turning and the carriage from moving. On the pictures it is showed. One copper plate/ring of it was broken. Removed the loose parts and the spindle was free to turn and the carriage was free to move. (Later I have build in a spare part from an other S type machine, please see detailed pictures.) The tests were carried out by hand / crank operation, on the repair situation. Electricity checked OK as well. The mains connected and the calculation checks passed!! The top digit of the sliders, who were missing, placed. Got those from an spare S type machine. |
