Previous owner: An Unknown collector who had to moved to a smaller apartment. (acquired via Kringloop Oldenzaal).
Cosmetic imperfections:
(I accuse no one)
Paint removed on several paces due to usage. Tops of a few keys are unreadable. One bottom plate motor department is missing. Chassis part of the mains supply renovated with a new modern part. New motor is build in and the main supply chassis connector is new.

Machine story: For technological details I like to recommend the left hand menu item "How do mechanical Calculators work.... Then under the Stepped Drum page 2, the tens carry item.

2011-12-15 I started testing the machine. The crank was turning constantly and stopping seems impossible.
2011-12-26 The machine side walls and bottom plate removed. It was not clear in with loop the machine was working. Several control functions studied and followed from the function key's if some thing is blocking. The reason for this loop was not clear. I previously thought that is was the transport but I am not sure. Fact is that after a few tries to move plates who are extending the several function key's, the machine stopped after connecting the mains supply. The carriage moved to its rest position and the motor stopped. Calculation plus and minus worked. But the key units were not precise due to hardened oil. W40 was spayed, and it solves that. The carriage showed a second digit of revolution counter. Removed the carriage and sprayed the bar with nock who commands the counter. Of course the whole carriage cleaned as well. After a while it seems ok but the error remains. This is a revolution counter technology not seen in other fib Rheinmetall machines. Not sure yet how it is working?
2012-01-02 Or is it a special function?? Have to get an operational manual.
2012-01-17 With the information of Mr. J.Wolf his repair guideline for the 20ATG, a few You Tube explanations of usage the blame was on the oscillating shaft right above the key-board. This actuate the counter register.
All calculating checks passed, including the "automatic multiplication", automatic division and add and subtract. An error still occurs in ~digit 6 of the counter register two. The tens carry did not occur. Seen at an add and subtract. The daisy chain / oscillating shaft loosen manual and everything works ok several try's a day.
2012-01-19 In the cap of the multiplicand input the date 1954 was scratched, the production date?
