The history of the company: Precisa Rechenmaschinenfabrik AG

Founded in 1935 in Zürich Switzerland by Mr Ernst Jost.
The first type was the M1 who was already in prototype faze in 1933, before the starting of the company. Series production started in 1935 in Seenger, later in Winterthur and from 1942 in Zürich-Oerlikon. In the late ninety fifties the company had 850 employees.
In 1964 fusion with Hermes SA toke place and the new name was Hermes-Precisa International SA, Yverdon.
In the seventies precision scales are build. The calculator production ended in 1978/ 79. In 1981 Olivetti acquired the company.
